Art for me is a means of peace for my mind, body & soul. Beautiful presentation of Quranic script gives me inner satisfaction freeing my heart of any stress & encouraging me to instead thank my Creator Almighty Allah for every single blessing including the opportunity to breathe in the wonder of this world around us every single day.

I love to explore different styles & fonts breaking away from the traditional form of Arabic Calligraphy with free style of Arabic alphabets (Huroof) in various shapes – geometrical lines, circles, squares, triangles & arcs. I work with all materials & mediums including Oil, Acrylic, Ink and Pen (Qalam) on various base materials wood , board, Canvas, leather and Paper – but my favorite is Acrylic on Canvas.

Participated in a number of solo & group shows in Karachi during 1990 to2008 and Detroit, Chicago, Peoria, McCormick through 2010-2015. While photography has taken a back seat in last few years, my favorite endeavor remains “Artists against Violence” in 1996 which was the 1st billboard photography exhibition in Pakistan and after different countries of European Union.
